"My husband heard about you from someone at work, and they said Mr. Steam is the best carpet cleaner in the area.  So that's why I called.  I've got two bedrooms with lots of spots and the hallway and stairs, and I knew this was a job I couldn't do myself.  The men were here on time, they came in and talked to me about what they were going to do, and went right to work.  They were very professional and answered my questions.  In less than an hour they were all done.  I felt the carpet and it was almost dry.  Dennis said I could walk on the carpet with clean shoes right away but it would take about and hour to fully dry.  The last time I had my carpets steam cleaned, it took over six hours to dry.  I was very happy with the process Mr. Steam uses and the thoroughness of the cleaning.  I'm happy to give you a good review.  Thank you very much."

That's right, a negative review, which I hope to use as an educational example of what can happen when you hire a carpet cleaner with one eye covered.  Dennis explains: I was called about 9-ish Friday morning by Michelle, who said she was moving nextdoor into another condo and needed the carpet cleaned as soon as possible.  In the midst of a busy morning yet not wanting to leave a damsel in distress languish, I agreed to be at her location by 12:30 and save the day.  I met Michell and husband Scott at the job and we talked about the many spots that I was not sure would come out completely until I had a chance to apply my spotting treatments.  They said "we understand" and "just do your best."  Nothing whatsoever was said on the telephone or at the job regarding price.  I worked very hard (Dick was sick that day) on the carpet and ALL of the stains of most concern came out with extra work.  So I load up the truck and am filling out my invoice when Scott comes over with a coupon sheet from another carpet cleaner.  After I explain that this is not my coupon and tell him my charge which included my 25% OFF standard discount, he says "OUCH."  No mention was made of my prompt service, or the fact that I just made a silk purse out of a sow's ear only three hours after the first phone call.  Go figure.  Cleaned GR, DR (custom made): Foyer and Hall (many spots requiring extra Rx): $195

I'm moving in to my new condo on Madison's west side and needed to get two bedrooms and two staircases cleaned.  I had trouble finding a carpet cleaner when I searched on Google because I needed the work done when I get home from work after 5 PM.  That's until I called Mr. Steam Carpet Cleaners and Dennis said it would be no problem for them to come that late in the day.  They did the job Monday and the carpets look much better.  Thank you."

"Just FYI - posted on Yelp reviews today.  Thanks again for the amazing work!  I was beyond pleased with the carpet cleaning services by Mr. Steam.  They arrived at time and go immediately to work.  There were no efforts to up-sell me on additional services (avoid Stanely Steamer or plan on paying twice the quote).  I intended for the carpet cleaners to work around my furniture and items in the room, but they went ahead and moved everything around and cleaned the entire room.  Don't expect them to do the same for you.  This was my fault for not telling them that I just needed the visible areas cleaned.  I share this with you to just give you an idea of their work ethic.  A great company.  Reasonably priced.  Professional.  Friendly.  I highly recommend them. "I have a Germain Shephard who vomited on my livingroon carpet and dining room rug, and I needed the mess cleaned up fast because I couldn't stand the odor.  So I searched on Google for carpet cleaning in Madison Wisconsin and started calling the listings on the page.  Then I called Mr. Steam, and I can't tell you how wonderful it was to talk to a live person instead of an answering machine.  I thought it would be hopeless to get someone to come out right away on Saturday morning but I was in for another happy surprise.  Dennis, the owner of the company, said he could come to clean my carpets within the hour.  He came and did a wonderful job.  The vomit stains and odor vanashed and the cost was perfect.  I was so pleased to have found Mr. Steam and will recommend their services to my friends on Facebook."
